Luke Nathanael Rockwell, an English teacher from the United States and popular TikTok star with over 1.3 million followers, was arrested near Phra Khanong Canal yesterday.
According to the Bangkok Post, a man named Rockwell, aged 29 and with a following of 1.3 million on TikTok, was arrested on Sunday in the Wattana District. The arrest was made after a mother accused the Florida native of engaging in sexual activity with her 16-year-old daughter while he was teaching English to children in Bangkok.
The mother, who has not been named, informed the police that Rockwell and her daughter had been communicating with each other before their relationship became physical. The two had known each other for approximately five months.
The complaint obtained by the Bangkok Post also alleges that the influencer filmed their sexual encounters. Upon discovering the alleged relationship between Rockwell and her daughter, the mother contacted the Department of Welfare for Children and Women, who, along with officers from the Khlong Tan station, took the English teacher into custody. The Daily Mail reported that the mother learned of the crime when her daughter fell ill with abdominal pains caused by chlamydia and gonorrhea, which she contracted from Rockwell.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, it has been alleged that the mother became aware of the crime after her daughter fell ill with abdominal pains resulting from the contraction of chlamydia and gonorrhea from Rockwell.
“My daughter said the first time they had s**, Teacher Luke used protection but after he did not use any. She trusted him,” the mother told the Mail.
“Teacher Luke told her to keep everything a secret until she turned 18. He told my daughter that he loved her and would let her come live with him when she’s no longer a minor,” she added.
Police have not commented or confirmed the allegations that Rockwell gave the minor STDs. Officials said an investigation into Rockwell is still ongoing.
