The worker reportedly botched a simple task while filming a Seinfeld episode. After Seinfeld intervened, Fallon allegedly apologized for reprimanding the employee. Employees who discussed the incident with Rolling Stone described it as “uncomfortable.”
But, in a comment submitted to the outlet after they published their article on Thursday, the Seinfeld star called the description an ‘idiotic twisting of events.’
‘This is so stupid. I remember this moment quite well… I teased Jimmy about a flub, and we all had a fun laugh about how rarely Jimmy is thrown off. It was not uncomfortable at all. Jimmy and I still occasionally recall it and laugh. Idiotic twisting of events,’ Seinfeld said.
Rolling Stone claimed that they repeatedly contacted Seinfeld’s reps for comment but never got a reply. After the piece was written, Seinfeld put in a statement.
The employee told the outlet of the alleged scolding moment: ‘It was very awkward, and Jerry [Seinfeld] was like, “You should apologize to him,” almost trying to make it a joke.
