Did 17-time champion permanently join Alpha Academy on WWE RAW? Finding out likely direction

Alpha Academy has emerged as one of the most popular tag teams on WWE RAW in recent months. The in-ring chemistry of Chad Gable and Otis, coupled with Maxxine Dupri’s comedic timing, has made them one of the must-see acts on the red brand.

Last week’s edition of WWE RAW saw a 17-time champion emerge in the corner of Alpha Academy. The superstar was none other than Akira Tozawa. The former WWE 24-7 Champion provided meme material with his funny dance during a backstage segment on the red brand.

Tozawa appeared in Otis and Gable’s corner on RAW tonight. The new alliance might be permanent after the former Cruiserweight Champion showed up to ask for Master Gable’s advice in a Digital Exclusive video WWE dropped before the show tonight.

It is worth mentioning that Tozawa has been increasingly used as a comedy act on WWE RAW ever since Triple H dropped the 24/7 Championship from the red brand. He is occasionally seen walking away whenever faced with stars such as Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax.

What happened after Alpha Academy faced The New Day on WWE RAW?

Alpha Academy squared off against The New Day in tag team competition on WWE RAW tonight. Chad Gable and Otis brought the fight to Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston in their solid multi-man encounter on the red brand.

The crowd was firmly behind Gable and Otis during the course of the action. Gable tried to hit his patented Chaos Theory on Kingston in the early goings of the match but couldn’t get him in the right position.

Master Gable and Otis were cheered on by Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri. However, the pair failed to win their latest encounter against The New Day as Woods pinned Gable following an elbow drop from the top rope.
